School of Fine Arts

    Liaoning Normal University (LNNU) located in Dalian, a beautiful coastal city in northern China. It is one of the key institutions of higher learning in Liaoning Province of China. The predecessor of the School of Fine Arts (SFA) of LNNU was the Department of Fine Arts of LNNU founded in 1989, which reconstructed as School of Fine Arts in 2003.
    The school has 8 directions ranging 2 disciplines (research of fine arts & art design). They are Chinese painting, oil painting, printmaking, sculpture, visual communication, environment design, digital media art, comprehensive painting. There are 51 teaching and administrative staffs, 8 of which are professors, 14 are associate professors, 19 are lecturers in the school. Some of them received theirs M.A. or M.F.A. from the Central Academy of Fine Arts, the China Academy of Art and Luxun Academy of Fine Arts. They participated in various national organizations and lectured widely in the fields of art. In the last 5 years, the teaching stuff has published more than 20 books, 100 academic articles, has got 7 patents approved and received hundreds awards for scientific research.
    Every year, SFA enrolls undergraduate and postgraduate. More than 400 full-time undergraduates and about 200 postgraduates in the school now. Over 23 years, over 2,000 students have graduated from SFA, who have contributed significantly to the reform and development of art and education in Liaoning Province.
